That Dirty George Martin

I've been reading the beatles anthology and George Martin (the beatle's producer) isnt the nice man everyone thinks he is. I thought he was pretty good until i found out what he was really like. first of all, he turned down Ringo the first time they met. They brought in Ringo with them to record after they got rid of Pete Best and stupid Martin sticks his nose up and decides that neither Ringo or Pete are good enough. He even said it right infront of Ringo's face! he then brought in another guy to try playing with the beatles but they couldn't play very well with him and so, they told Martin that they are sticking with Ringo. To this very day, Ringo has still not forgiven Martin. second of all, he thought George's songs werent good enough! he thought that Paul and John were the only good writers and that they didnt need George's songs. well sure, maybe Paul and John did write more songs than George and maybe George only got one hit song with the beatles but they few songs that he did write were amazing! Martin's attitude was "oh, do we HAVE to put a George song on this album? oh, alright if you MUST". no, that's not ok. I've got a couple words for you Mr.George Martin-I'd like to see YOU do better! thanks for sitting here and reading my little rant about the stupidity of George Martin.

  1. I am really charmed by your loyalty to the Beatles and especially to George, but I'm afraid you do George Martin wrong. After all, he was a highly trained classical musician and professional recording engineer. He had received his degree in music from the very prestigious Guildhall School of Music. The fact that he saw talent in a bunch of untrained kids barely out of their teens says an awful lot about his open mindedness. Don't forget, Decca Records rejected them outright after one brief audition. (Sorry, Mr Epstein. Guitar groups are on the way out.) Love your blog.
