That Magic Feeling...Where'd It Go?

I realize people dont read my blog to read about myself-they want to read about the beatles. But thats exactly what this post is about. My whole journey with the beatles. I used to get such a rush, such a good feeling from listening, reading and hearing about the beatles. Now its like nothing. Its like a love gone sour. I'm going to start this when I first heard about the beatles. It was 2 years ago. Now I had some introduction to older music because just months before I had been obsessed with the band ABBA. It was September of '09. I went to future shop with my mom and there was beatles rockband there. I played it and instantly fell in love with their music. That night I went home and listened to Hello Goodbye on youtube. A month later was my birthday and my parents got me beatles rockband. My obsession began to take a huge hit. By December that year I owned 5 of their albums and 2 of their movies: Help and A Hard Days Night. And of course every stuffed animal I had was named Paul, John, George or Ringo. By March that year everyone knew me as the beatle freak. My obsession was really strong-so strong they were the only band I listened to at all. I knew everything about them and I owned a ton of their stuff. It was especially strong during the summer of that year. I joined a beatle lovers site and the rest is history. The beatles were my one and only...until February the next year. I was really into the  beatles's hamburg days and greaser days-1959 to 1962. That introduced me to 1950's rock n roll. Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Buddy Holly and other 50's artists were now part of my music library. I listened to the beatles now 70% of the time and the other rock n roll 30% of the time. In June/July (I'm talking about last year now) is when I was introduced to more 60's/70's rock. I was listening to The Guess Who, The Animals, Kiss, Pink Floyd and George Harrison's later music along with Paul's band Wings. These people were listened to 60% of the time. The beatles were 40%. This is when I started to realize that I wasnt to crazy about the beatles anymore. And I was having less and less to say about them. Those people continued but when September came (I'm talking about this year now), I was introduced to 70's/80's rock. And I was totally into it. From September to November I was right into Grand Funk Railway, The Police, ReoSpeedwagon, Fleetwood Mac, and such artists. End of November and beginning of December brought more 70's/80's artists like Boston, Kansas, Alabama, Billy Joel, Eric Clapton, E.L.O, Foreigner, Air Supply, David Bowie and ZZ Top. Now those people are all I listen to. And its rare if I even listen to a couple beatles songs. I dont know what happened to me. I used to be so in love with this band. And now its nothing. I mean, I still love their music but I've required a new taste in music now. I just need some feed back. Am I loosing that magic feeling?

She Could Steal But She Could Not Rob

Have you ever listened to a song and a set of lyrics sticks with you and you wondered what the writer meant? Well, ever since I heard the song She Came In Through The Bathroom Window from the Abbey Road album, I always wondered about the set of lyrics: "And though she tried her best to help me, she could steal but she could not rob". Now, what does that mean? I've been thinking about it for over a year now and what I think is obviously, its metaphoric. Maybe what Paul's implying (if Paul wrote it) was that the girl was materialistic because to steal, it means to take what you have in front of you and to rob would mean to take something behind your back. So she was all material and nothing on the inside? I'm not sure. Anyone got any ideas?

Things We Said Today

You say you will love me
if I have to go.
You'll be thinking of me,
somehow, I will know.
Some day when I'm lonely,
wishing you weren't so far away.
Then I will remember
things we said today
You say you'll be mine, girl
Till the end of time
These days
such a kind, girl
Seem so hard to find
Some day when we're dreaming
deep in love, not alot to say
Then we will remember
things we said today
Me, I'm just the lucky kind
Love to hear you say that
love is love
And though we may be blind,
love is here to stay
and thats enough
to make you mine, girl
Be the only one
Love me all the time, girl
we'll go on and on
Some day when we're dreaming
deep in love, not alot to say
Then we will remember
things we said today
Me, I'm just the lucky kind
Love to hear you say that
love is love
And though we may be blind,
love is here to stay
and thats enough
to make you mine, girl
Be the only one
Love me all the time, girl
we'll go on and on
Some day when we're dreaming
deep in love, not alot to say
Then we will remember
things we said today

SONG INFO:
Name: Things We Said Today
Year: 1964
Album: A Hard Day's Night
Band: The Beatles
Lead Singer: Paul McCartney

MY THOUGHTS: I decided to do a song post on this song for two reasons. Today is Remembrance
Day and I don't know about you but I've always thought this song was about a man going off to war and leaving his girlfriend behind. I'm pretty sure that's what this song is about. I haven't really read the info about it. But lyrics like "you say you will love me if I have to go" and "some day when I'm lonely, wishing you weren't so far away" makes you think that he's going off to war. I've always adored this song for the sweetness it has. I have a soft spot for the whole concept of soldiers going off to war and such (I'm into the whole World War 2 thing). And Paul's voice is perfect for the song, its soft but has a certain power. And the sticato type strums that John(?) takes in between just adds authenticity to the song.

Love Comes To Everyone

ok,  so there's this awesome song that I just discovered tonight by George Harrison called Love Comes To Everyone. It instantly became my favourite song. Its so easy to listen to and the music flows so beautifully. I'm not sure which year it was recorded but its so sweet sounding. If you havent heard this song, I suggest you do. Its really very moving. Also, other really good songs by George during his solo career are What Is Life, My Sweet Lord, All Those Years Ago and This Song. I'd also like to add something even though it has nothing to do with what i've been talking about but...I was looking through my pictures on my computer and I saw this one and thought it'd be interesting to draw. Challenging but interesting. Its one of Paul and George but its George who caught my eye. The picture is taken by his side profile (i've never been good with those but its worth a try). You're probably wondering what this picture looks like so i'll show you.

It's a nice picture, right? so once i finish the drawing, i'll post the final piece :)

NOOOO!

I CANT BELIEVE I FORGOT JOHN'S BIRTHDAY!!!! I am a horrible fan! I'm SO sorry!!! you see, I wasnt even home on his birthday so...i guess i get credit for that. But to make up for it, i'd like to say:
Happy birthday John! 71, I believe? Wow, you never realize it was so long ago until you hit 70. or 71. So  here's to John Winston Lennon :)

I just came across this photo earlier tonight, isnt john pretty? *blushes and looks down but has a cute smile on face* xD *shrugs then says sweetly "isnt he pretty?"* xD you can bet i'll be drawing this later tonight

"The Norwegian Woods"

In Geography class today, we were learning about the different populations and what not and we were doing one for Africa, Norway, Brazil and Russia. Then it happened. My teacher pulls down the map and says "this here is the Norwegian woods" and I burst into laugher. I have no idea what came over me. I just burst into laugher. Everyone was looking at me and the teacher asks what was so funny about that and I say "oh nothing, I just have an inside joke about Norway with my friends. I'm sorry for laughing". The teacher gives me sceptical but says "ok...". It was too funny. And I thought that fellow beatle fans could relate to this. Obviously the song Norwegian Wood has come to play in this post xD

Guitar Patterns in Rock n Roll

Being a guitarist and a beatles fan, I play alot of beatle songs. And what I've realized is, in their earlier days (when they were doing alot of rock n roll covers) there seems to be a familiar pattern. Such as in Thats Alright Mama the pattern is just A, D, and E. And again in Crying Waiting Hoping, they use the same pattern. Along with Long Tall Sally, Sure To Fall, Memphis Tennessee, Johnny B. Goode and well thats all I can think of off the top of my head. There's also another very familiar pattern that they used which was G, C and D. They used this mostly when covering Buddy Holly songs and Little Richard songs. I know if you dont play guitar, you're probably like "shut up, this is boring" but maybe your not. Whether you care or not is your business but i'd just like to share this interesting discovery. If you play that pattern on piano, it would be C, F and G. And on piano, it'd be called Twelve Bar Blues.

For No One

Your day breaks
your mind aches
you find that all her words of kindness
linger on
when she no longer needs you.
She wakes up
she makes up
she takes her time
and doesn't feel she has to hurry
she no longer needs you.
And in her eyes
you see nothing
no sign of love behind the tears
cried for no one
a love that should have lasted years.
You want her
you need her
and yet you don't believe her
when she says
her love is dead
you think she needs you.
And in her eyes
you see nothing
no sign of love behind the tears
cried for no one
a love that should have lasted years.
You stay home
she goes out
she says that long ago
she knew someone
but now he's gone
she doesn't need him.
Your day breaks
your mind aches
there will be times
when all the things she said
will fill you head
you wont forget her.
And in her eyes
you see nothing
no sign of love behind the tears
cried for no one
a love that should have lasted years.

SONG INFO
Name: For No One
Year: 1966
Album: Revolver
Lead Singer: Paul McCartney
Band: The Beatles

THOUGHT AND COMMENTS: I've always thought this song was romantic in a sad sort of way. Also, I remember when I first heard this song last summer and I thought a couple things-I thought of it taking place in maybe the 40's in England. It made me think of fall, leaves falling, wind blowing, the coldness of fall. I don't know if its just me but does this make anyone else think of fall??? And the thing I love about this song is, it was written in the third person (I think that's what its called) and its almost like the singer is looking down at these two people and singing about what he sees. Very mysterious in way...

Meet George Harrison

I pulled an all nighter a couple days ago and to pass the time I wrote these funny pieces on what the beatles truly thought. I did one for each beatle so here's George's. I'll post Paul's next, then John's, then Ringo's.

Oh...um...ello. I'm George. No need to add the Harrison, luv. After all, I hide behind Paul on stage. Gosh, why do I have to be so shy?! I'm not saying I think of myself as a overly attractive but I have had my fair share of lady friends if you know what I mean! My wife has a space in her teeth. That's what fascinates me most about her. Her space. Enough about her, my real girl is my Gretsch guitar! That smooth black body, those curves, that square shaped neck, those shiny silver strings...er...sorry, I'm rambling. But before I go, I'll give you my sexy killer stare. mwhaha.

If I Met Paul McCartney

If I ever got the chance to meet Paul, I'd be thrilled. I don't know how that'd happen..maybe at a concert but here's what would happen...Fantasy = I'd pull a Joey Tribbani and be all like "Hey Paul. How you doin?". Act all smooth. Reality = I'd totally freak out and act like a 9 year old. What would you do if you ever met Paul? Or Ringo? Too bad George has passed cuz I'd really like to have met him too.

George Sings To The Side

While watching the music video to This Boy, today I noticed George sings to the side-what i mean by this is his mouth when he sings opens to the side and he flashes he wonderful yet crooked set of teeth. I've kinda noticed this before but I've never really payed much attention to it nor did i necessarily care but for some reason today it just fascinated me. Then I tried singing to the side myself. But no one needs to know that. tee hee. It looks kinda southern when he does that. Then again, who was his role model? Carl Perkins.

Paul Is A Master Of Disguise

I have come to see that Paul is a master of disguise with his voice. He can make himself sound very sweet and soft or loud and southern. Now there are songs that display his many voices. He does have a original voice that you can hear in I Saw Her Standing There, All My Loving, Can't Buy Me Love and such songs. Then he has this very soft and sweet voice that you hear in Here There And Everywhere, And I Love Her, I Will and such songs. Then he has this scratchy and yell- type of voice that you hear in I'm Down, Long Tall Sally, the back up vocals of Please Mister Postman, the back up vocals of Money (Thats What I Want) and such songs. And then there's a loud and well...kind of old sounding and southern voice of his that you hear in Get Back, Let It Be, Don't Let Me Down, I've Got A Feeling and such songs. You'd most likely hear the last type in the older songs. So there's my talk on Paul's abilitly to disguise his voice. Also, I think John can do it aswell.

Obama Looks Like George!

I don't know if anyone else comes to the same conclusion but you gotta admit Obama looks kinda like George which is just down right creepy! Presidents are not supposed to look like Beatles! Especially not Obama! (I'm not a fan of his). Just thought i'd put that out there. This should get a good laugh..

Happy Birthday Ringo!

Happy birthday Ringo! And because I'm so lazy and really dont care to write a long emotional piece on why Ringo kicks butt, I'll just give you a nice big picture. Sound nice?

Role Playing

Everyone views the beatles differently. There's the people who just refer to them as just some band they remembered from the 60's. Then there's people who think of them as just a band. Then there's people who like them very much but still aren't comfortable caling them by their first names. Then there's the beatle freaks. Who know everything and anything about them. Who talk about them all the time, mainly only listen to their music, have their albums, posters, merchandise (i'm talking shirts, books, hats, pencils, pens, calenders, board games, note books, stuffed toys, magnets, stickers, mugs, bags, ext.). I mean its one thing to go from Paul McCartney to Paul but its another thing to go from Paul to Paulie. I think all my fellow beatle obsessors know what i'm talking about, right? And the thing is-we cant really help our selves! So what i'm getting at here, is you start to develop your own view of the beatles-what roles they play to you. For instance, some people view John as maybe a brother figure to them or maybe Ringo as a fatherly figure. I'd like to share what role the beatles play to me. Starting with George, my favourite. To me he's a boyfriend figure. Some one i'd have romance with. My second favourite, Paul. He used to be my favourite and used to be a boyfriend figure but now he's more of a brotherly figure to me. Or sometimes a really close friend. Now John, my third favourite. I never could really figure out how i felt about John. But i think now he plays a fatherly role to me. I think what influences that is his strong build and such. And that leader quality that he had. And last but not least, Ringo. Now this is hard because I dont give Ringo much thought (forgive me). But if i had to chose, i'd say Ringo is like a friend. Nothing more. Like those people you occasionally carry a conversation with and those people who you just say hi to when you see them. That's what Ringo would be. Now that this is out there, i'd like to see the roles that the beatles play to you! so if you'd like, leave a comment telling me! Wow, this is getting longer than expected so, Gut Yor! (that's good bye in Yiddish. I've been learning Yiddish lately).

Happy Birthday Paul!!!!

Yes, today is Paul's 69th birthday!!! And what i find ironic is that he sings Birthday.hmmmm. well, i've got a few things to say for paul. Well, Paul. what can i say about paul? He was my first ever celebrity crush. Ha, im so immature. But i have given him quite alot of thought. He has influenced my life greatly in ways that are almost indescribable. And what i think most people, or me anyway, love about him is his sweet voice or his romantic way that is about him. Of course, he was the cute beatle who drove the girls mad. I also must congratulate him-he's 69 and he's still got the girls swooning. haha, being the second beatle to join the band, he was almost like the leader. Most people  thought of it as Lennon's band which isnt exactly true. Paul gave alot to the beatles. His voice, his songs, his guitar, he put his life into the beatles. And he has his head screwed on straight. He knows what he wants and he gets the job done. Heres to 69 years of Paul McCartney!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAULIE!!!!!!!

Also, we have to do a project on a musician for music class and im doing the beatles (of course) but theres this other guy in my class who's also doing them so during music class me, jordan and conner were talking about which beatle is the best. connor said john, jordan said ringo and i said george. lol, that is so typical of me to fight over which beatles better. lol.

Paul Engaged!!!!!

Paul McCartney is engaged!!!! ohmigod!!! haha, no but i mean, again?! really? after that experience with Heather *cough* gold digger *cough* I thought he'd have better sence than to go marring again. But the problem is, he's dating all these younger women. But apperntly the woman who he's engaged to is 51. but still thats 17 years younger!!! Nancy Shevell is the lucky girl. I hope this one works out for Paul. he's a really sweet guy and he deserves someone to love him with all their heart. But i wish Linda was still alive. they were true soal mates <3

Look Alikes

When you become familiar with the beatles and the characteristics of their looks, you'll start to see people and say "oh, that looks like Paul" or "that totally looks like Ringo!". I'm doing this post on celebrities from the present who i think look like each beatle.

JOHN-

I thought Robert Pattinson was a look alike to John cuz they have the same kind of square face and rough look to them. But just for the record, i am not a fan of Robert Pattinson's. just saying.

PAUL-

I thought John Cusack would be an almost perfect look alike to Paul cuz of their eyes. They some how have this weird connection. Everytime i see a movie with John Cusack, it makes me think of Paul. and forgive me if this sounds a bit stupid but they have the same type of lips. I always thought Paul kinda had fish lips and i think John Cusack has them too.

GEORGE-

Ok, i think Russell Brand is a pretty good look alike for George except, i couldnt find any pics of him that would really show you the similarities. and also cuz he's uh...not attractive (no offence, Russell) but i'll give you the reasons. their eye brows are both very...well...big. we'll leave it at that, and their teeth look the same. and they're both british so. and they're also both very tall and skinny.

                                                                 RINGO-

I actually dont know this guy's name, nor do i like him but i thought he looked alot like Ringo. he's from the show Overruled. It's a Disney show so i dont expect you to know about it. i personally, hate the show. i just think this guy has Ringo's nose and lips. and yeah...

and by the way, thanks for helping me out on my last post! those were some pretty good ideas, i think paul would laugh at the jelly baby one! haha xD

The Fool On The Hill

The Fool On The Hill

Day after day
alone on a hill
the man with the foolish grin is keeping perfectly still
but nobody wants to know him
they can see that he's just a fool
and he never gives an answer
but the fool on the hill
sees the sun going down
and the eyes in his head
see the world spinning 'round
well on the way
head in a cloud
the man of a thousand voices talking perfectly loud
but nobody ever hears him
or the sound he appears to make
and he never seems to notice
but the fool on the hill
sees the sun going down
and the eyes in his head
see the world spinning 'round
and nobody seems to like him
they can tell what he wants to do
and he never shows his feelings
but the fool on the hill
sees the sun going down
and the eyes in his head
see the world spinning 'round
oh oh, round and round and round and round and round
he never listens to them
he knows that they're the fools
they dont like him
the fool on the hill
sees the sun going down
and the eyes in his head
see the world spinning 'round
oh, round and round and round!

My Shock About The Beatles

I look at his face. It some how looks different.Like someone I've never seen before. Like someone I dont know. Like a stranger. Then I realise. He is a stranger. I know these men inside and out. But I dont really know them. I look at all of their faces. They dont look familiar anymore. This is starting to scare me. These men are just strangers. I have photos of them on my wall though. And I know their voices. And i know what they look like. But I really dont know them at all...

I wrote this last night when i was looking at my beatles shirt and i was looking at George and i realised that i really dont know him. he started to look like a stranger to me. and i had to write this. does this sort of thing ever happen to you???

What They Listened To As Kids

latey, i've been listening to alot of 50's rock n roll and that is the music that influenced the beatles cuz its the music they grew up to. each beatle had their own hero: Elvis was John's, Little Richard was Paul's, Carl Perkins was George's and i think Ringo's was Elvis too (forgive me if im wrong). but i really started liking Carl Perkins and i remembered that George loved him so i wanted to say to George "hey, George I'm listening to your hero!" but of course George is dead and even if he was, i still wouldnt be able to tell him. just thought i'd share that...

Beatle Joke/Interesting Fact

so i was in Wal Mart today and i picked up a jar of honey and started singing 'A Taste Of Honey' and then i thought. 'hey, they should make a honey brand called A Taste Of Honey and their catch fraise should be a taste of honey: tasting much sweeter than wine'. does anyone agree with me?! and there's a couple other things i need to mention - i just found something very interesting out. do you know how they make those "best of the 60's" or "the best of rock n roll" or "the british invation" cds and you look for the beatles on there and you can never find  it and you get kinda pissed cuz the beatles were a huge part of the 60's and rock n roll and they dont even have them on the disk?! i figured out why! in order to put their songs on the cd, they need copy rights from Apple to put it on and Apple NEVER sells their copy rights to anyone. they make their own stuff. and that is why, my friend, you can never find the beatle's songs on any of those different packages. And fun fact-I just got a really sexy looking leather jacket just like the ones the beatles had in Hamburg! ok, i'll go now. bye!

A Taste Of Honey

       A Taste Of Honey lyrics

A taste of honey
tasting much sweeter than wine
I dream of your
first kiss
and then,
I feel upon
my lips again
A taste of honey
tasting much sweeter than wine
I will return
Yes, I will return
I'll come back
for the honey
and you
Yours was the kiss
that awoke my heart
The linger still
though we're far apart
That taste of honey
tasting much sweeter than wine
Oh, I will return
Yes, I will return
I'll come back
>he'll come back<
For the honey
>for the honey<
And you!

SONG INFO:
Name: A Taste Of Honey
Year: 1962
Album: Please Please Me
Lead Singer: Paul McCartney
Band: The Beatles

MY THOUGHTS: I've always thought this was a deep and romantic song. It's simply about a young man discovering true love and the kiss that "awoke his heart". The turm "a taste of honey" is used to explain how the kiss felt. So, it obviously didnt feel or taste like honey (unless Paul had some honey before he kissed her. ha ha) but it means that the kiss was sweet like honey and wonderful. The wine bit, I think, means that the kiss wasnt bitter like wine, but in fact, sweet as if it were honey. He says "I will return, yes, I will return, I'll come back for the honey and you". I think that means that he might return to the girl who has kissed him and I guess, make her his girlfriend. I'm not sure but I think thats what it means. Any ways, I think this songs makes me think of the cavern. It has the echo sound. And I really find it fascinating how he holds the "you" at the end of the song. Over all, a wonderful and romantic song!!!

Decca Tape 1962

As I search more into the early beatles and the Hamburg days, I discover more and more material! One of them, is The Beatle's 1962 Decca Tapes!! They have wonderful songs on them. Most of them are cover songs but they did job covering them! The Beatles always did a great job covering other artists songs. I have done some research, and I'm pretty sure that the Decca Tapes were only made on vinyl. If I'm wrong, please forgive me. But another thing with the Decca Tapes is that, is was made when Pete Best was still the drummer. would you still call that The Beatles? I think so, because its basically The Beatles but without Ringo. I really hope to get the Decca Tapes soon. They're really groovin, I've heard most of the songs on Youtube. My favourite songs from the tape would have to be Three Cool Cats or Aint She Sweet.

The Beatles In The 1990's

It facinates me how different the beatles looked over the coarse of 30 years!!! and how much they had changed! one difference- they had broken up. another difference- John has died. another difference- Paul has made a band called Wings. another difference- Live At The BBC (beatles album) gets released in 1994. another difference- George has made a band called The Traveling Wiburys.(did i spell that right?) And The Beatles Anthology was made in the 1990's. And here is what Paul, George and Ringo looked like in the 1990's.

George Harrison in the 1990's (not sure which exact year, sorry)

The Greaser Look

Aside from the mop top look for the beatles which most people refer to as "beatles cut", my other favourite look that the beatles had would be the greaser look! as you might already know from my other post, i have found a recent love for the beatles experience in Hamburg and they went there from 1959 to 1962 and those were the greaser years! i just love the greaser hair, all pulled back but curly and points at the top, i love the leather jackets and the leather pants! the cigarettes sticking out of there mouth every minute of the day!! and if i had to chose the most attractive look for men, i would say greaser! ha ha!

Some People Just Don't Appreciate Rock n Roll!

We watched The History Of Rock n Roll in music class today and every one was making fun of Little Richard and Buddy Holly. it was sad. they dont even stop to even listen to the music and try to like it. but they did show a couple clips of the beatles and i was like "OH MY GOD, THAT'S PAUL!!!" ha ha xD but the thing is, they all make fun of them and they'd rather listen to Lady GaGa or Rihanna or Justin Bieber or Kesha and the stuff they sing isnt even music! or talent! its so stupid! and then they come up to me and say "oh, the beatles are gay, they suck!" and they swear at me! i just feel like saying, screw off! y'know? you dont like my music, fine! i'm not forcing you to listen to it! but just dont bother me with your crap that you call music! ugh, this frustrates me soo much! i could just go on for hours about this but i wont. it just gets on my nerves...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GEORGE!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GEORGE!!! As you might already know, today is February 25th which is George's birthday! he would've been 68! What i did was, when i woke up, I told my beatles poster in my room "happy birthday!!" ha ha. then i wore my beatles shirt all day and now im making this post and listening to beatles songs that only George sang in! and i will probably draw a picture of him later. this is to George Harrison: I love George! He's the most beautiful man ever, if you are willing to consider men to be beautiful! ha ha. I love him soo much! He is my role model and he is my favourite beatle and the most adorable boy you will ever set eyes on! He has been a HUGE part of my life for the past year and a half. I really do love George! Happy Birthday, my sweet George! rest in peace!!!  <3 <3 <3

The Beatles In Hamburg

I have a resent love for the beatles's experience in Hamburg. I honestly think it was one of the best times for them. It's where they found their manliness! It's were they found their experience! They lived in a bathroom for crying out loud! They'd rest their heads on the bathroom floor to sleep and then they'd wake up to some guy taking a wiz right in their faces! If you told someone at that moment that those guys would be the four most famous guys in the world in one or two years, I dont think they'd believe you! It's funny how they went from waking up on the bathroom floor to pure fame and every girl thinking Paul was her boyfriend! ha ha! They'd play at the clubs with Rory Storm and The Hurricanes and it fascinated me how they'd try to out do each other when they played What I'd Say. That's one of the moments in history I'd like to be there for. And I had to laugh when Paul confessed that the Germans had no idea what the words were to Tutti Fruity! ah, those sweet moments in history you wish you could get back to and see. I think my devotion to the beatles is bringing out this person I had inside me all this time and I'm just finding her now!

That Dirty George Martin

I've been reading the beatles anthology and George Martin (the beatle's producer) isnt the nice man everyone thinks he is. I thought he was pretty good until i found out what he was really like. first of all, he turned down Ringo the first time they met. They brought in Ringo with them to record after they got rid of Pete Best and stupid Martin sticks his nose up and decides that neither Ringo or Pete are good enough. He even said it right infront of Ringo's face! he then brought in another guy to try playing with the beatles but they couldn't play very well with him and so, they told Martin that they are sticking with Ringo. To this very day, Ringo has still not forgiven Martin. second of all, he thought George's songs werent good enough! he thought that Paul and John were the only good writers and that they didnt need George's songs. well sure, maybe Paul and John did write more songs than George and maybe George only got one hit song with the beatles but they few songs that he did write were amazing! Martin's attitude was "oh, do we HAVE to put a George song on this album? oh, alright if you MUST". no, that's not ok. I've got a couple words for you Mr.George Martin-I'd like to see YOU do better! thanks for sitting here and reading my little rant about the stupidity of George Martin.

Paul Loved Silly Love Songs

if you look back at the beatles, i think you will find that Paul sang the more romantic songs. i mean, think of it. Paul sang And I Love Her, Here There And Everywhere, Yesterday, P.S. I Love You, Things We Said Today, I'll Follow The Sun, Michelle and For No One. im sure there are more and if you have any in mind, please comment! seriously, i love every comment i get! when i log on and see "1 comment" i get really happy so dont be afraid to comment! anyway, back to the subject! Also, if you listen to the lyrics in the songs Paul sings, you'll find that he used very romantic, mushy, lovey dovey words to express his love. And i dont know about you but i found it funny that he and Wings had a song called Silly Love Songs because thats exactly what the majority of his songs were! Happy Valentines Day, everyone!

Look Alike

These two photos look exactly alike but one was taken in 1963 and the other in 1967. and the only difference is in the second photo, John is were George was and George is were John was. Paul stayed in the middle.

its funny how three men can look so different over the coarse of just 4 years.

Some Words From John Lennon

"When I was 5 years old, my mother told me the key to life is happiness. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down 'happy'. They told me I didn't understand the question. I told them I didn't understand life"

I thought that was a pretty smart thing to say. And as you've seen, John was a very smart man.

Julia

i watched Nowhere Boy for the second time the other night and i really understand John's pain after loosing his mother Julia. you see, he lost her twice. Once when he was 5 years old and she left him then again when he was 18 and they were close, she was hit by a car and killed. I downloaded the song "Mother" by John Lennon and you can just hear the sorrow in his voice. i think John at least deserved a mother. everyone deserves that. he also wrote another song that was devoted to her called "Julia". its very beautiful but very sad. John had such sorrow in his life. When he is 5, his parents leave him with his Aunt Mimi and his Uncle George, then when he is 15, his Uncle George dies, then when he is 18, his Mother Julia dies, then December 8th 1980, John Lennon himself is shot five times in the back and killed. poor poor John. Rest In Peace, dear John.

Beatle Guitars

each beatle had their own signature guitar. my favourite is George's Gretsch. im actually saving for one. here is a pic of the beatle guitars.

                                                     John's Rickenbacker guitar.

                                                                 Paul's Hofner bass
                                                              George's Gretsch Duo Jet
and i think it would only be fair if we put a picture of Ringo's Ludwig drums in here, dont you think?

                                                                    there we go! :)

now, how about a picture with them actually playing their instrument, eh?

George with his Gretsch

Paul with his Hofner

I dont have one with just John so i'll have to show you John with his Rickenbacker with George too

and there's Ringo with his Ludwig and a collage of all of them would be nice too, wouldn't it?

Notice The Unnoticeable

ever come across those beatle pics where someone's face looks funny or someone's doing something hilarious? and to top it all off, its in a group photo so its kinda unnoticeable. i have a tons of pics like that and I've been dying to show them! i probably wont have enought room to fit all of them so i'll just put the funniest ones.

John giving Paul that funny thing they do with their nose and their fingers and Paul's looking at John like "what on earth are you doing?!"

ohmigod, Ringo's face is just hysterical! xD oh, God. everyone else is all happy and cheerful and then Ringo's all like "whatevar!" and he's rolling his eyes!

that water cold, Ringo? ha ha. either that water is really cold or Ringo really needs to take a wizz!

Thats really interesting how they caught this photo. George is on the bottom thinking "oh, God, no!" and
Ringo's jumping up yelling "SURPRISE!", John is just trying not to fall off and Paul's got his weapon ready and he's yellin' "imma whoop you butt, George!!!"

oh, wow. John seriously needs to go. and Paul just chizzed his pants or something! i needed to make this pic really big cuz you really need to see the detail on there faces!

It seems as though George and Ringo are way too preoccupied with their chips to really care that they're getting their picture taken!

when ever i look at this pic, i wonder what John and Paul were looking at. and notice the greaser hair styles? very 50's and veeeerrrry sexy :)

oh, man, John's about to kick Paul's butt! you'll see...you'll see.

well, thats about it for Notice The Unnoticeable. i might do an episode 2 but lets just say  good bye for now :)

Bad Breath?!

i always think to myself, since Paul and George always were singing at the same mic during performances, how would Paul feel if George had bad breath? haha xD or the other way around! i have a perfect pic for this.
are they trying to eat each other or what? paul seems to be delighted but George looks upset. i think its safe to say that maybe this time, it was paul who had too many onions xD ha ha
